VAGINA RIGHTS is about six eclectic women who are fighting for their rights.  They create a vagina rights code to address the following issues:  depression, pay inequality, sex trafficking, genital mutilation and transgender issues.

ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT:
 
Shaneisha Dodson (Playwright/Vagina Rights) was born in Arkansas and currently resides in Texas.  She holds a B.A. in psychology, M.A. in counseling, and an Ed. S in education. Dodson has won several awards: 2016 Black Women Are Inspiration Award Winner, (2) Official selections for her first screenplay, 2015 Best Playwright, 2015 Extraordinary Person Honoree, 2014 Celebrated during Women's History Month, Who's Who of small business by Career magazine, 2011 literary excellence award winner and 2011 African American literary award nominee. In 2012, she took her love of the arts to the next level and founded Black Girlz Productions. Her company’s motto is “Dream BIG or go Home!”

Corey, the birthday boy, meets a new friend who wants to make his night a special one to remember. As Corey loses all inhibitions with his new prospect, conflict arises inside the men's room as Corey's birthday gift to himself backfires. A play about trust, awareness, and living in a society of phone app hook-ups. Contains some nudity. Featuring: Nick Castellano, Jason Michael Dick, Matthew Dwight Lincoln, Justin Younts.

ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT:
Anthony Fusco (Playwright, Director) is very excited to have his playA Night At Stonewall presented as part of the Summer SOAF 2017. Last summer his play Psychic Café was part of the SOAF 2016 competition. He has had plays compete in the New York Theater festival at the Hudson Guild.  His one act psychological thriller titled Fixation, was nominated as one of the best four plays at the SOAF winter 2015 festival. He has been writing plays since 2006. He won the best director award for his one act drama Rush Hour Madness in the SOAF winter 2013. His other credits include: Crossing Verrazano, Confessions of a Bad Boy, Sole Mates, The Handbag Click Clack Girls, STR8 Men Are Bitches Too.

ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT:
 
Patrick Hamilton (Playwright/Before the Fall) A native of Bethesda, MD, Patrick moved to New York City to attend Fordham University at Rose Hill and has been here ever since. He taught sciences at Xavier High School in New York City for six years before leaving to pursue acting and writing full-time. This marks the second time he has teamed up with director Lola Lopez Guardone this year. The first was for his original play These Little Ones Perish, which debuted in January and was nominated for Best Play in the NY Theater Winterfest; Lola won for Best Director. He is currently working on several projects and will be seen in the play Tomorrow in the Battle at the Ars Nova Theater this fall.
