strawberry one-act festival The Riant Theatre Is Proud to Present Its First Showcase of "The Best of The Strawberry One-Act Festivals"
Showcase features 11 One-Act Plays soon to be published in the company's first literary anthology, The Best Plays From The Strawberry One-Act Festival, Volume One

The Riant Theatre's first ever showcase of "The Best of the Strawberry One-Act Festivals" opens at The Producers Club, 358 West 44th Street (between 8th and 9th Avenues), NYC on Tuesday, June 22nd.

The showcase, running until June 26th, features plays selected as semi-finalists and finalists by audiences attending the Strawberry One-Act Festivals over the past two years.

The showcase encompasses four separate "Series" of performances, with each Series presented on three evenings during the engagement. Please note: the winner of Winter 2004 Strawberry Festival The Spirit of Roberta by Richard Edwin Knipe, Jr. will be presented in Series A. A complete listing of plays, dates and times for each Series is listed below.

"These award-winning plays received a tremendous response from theatergoers during their initial run," said Van Dirk Fisher, Artistic Director of The Riant Theatre. "All of the actors, playwrights and directors involved exemplify The Riant Theatre's commitment to presenting thought-provoking, original work in a variety of genres. We are excited to give people a second chance to discover them."

The showcase coincides with the publication of The Best Plays From The Strawberry One-Act Festival, Volume One, which features 11 of the one-act plays to be performed during the run. The literary work marks the first time The Riant Theatre has ever compiled such an anthology for fans of the festival and other members of the theatrical community. The book is now available in bookstores nationwide.  For further information or to order a book now click here. The Riant Theatre also plans to sell copies of the anthology before and after each of the June performances.

Tickets are $15 per series.  Showcase Passes are $55.00, which entitles you to one ticket to each series. Description of Plays click here
