THE PIONEER OF THE ARTS AWARD for Outstanding Achievement in Arts & Entertainment recipient:  MARCIA PENDELTON, Founder & President, Walk Tall Girl Productions, has provided marketing, group sales, audience development, communications, producing, and education services for both commercial and nonprofit ventures, with special emphasis placed on the theater. Her work has been highligted by the media including: The New York Times, The Philadelphia Inquirer, the Philadelphia Daily News, Newsday, The Positive Community Magazine, ABCNews.com, Black Enterprise.com, Centric's Leading Women series,  and Rolling Out Magazine. Her groundbreaking work in marketing theater to new audiences has been honored by The Black Public Relations Society of New York and New York's Audelco Awards. 
 
 PIONEER OF THE ARTS AWARD recipient HOPE CLARKE, Director, Choreographer & Actress.  (1992 Tony Nominee for Choreography for JELLY'S LAST JAM, received the coveted DRAMALOGUE AWARD, the JOSEPH CALLOWAY AWARD, and the NAACP IMAGE AWARD for the same piece. She also choreographed on Broadway CAROLINE, OR CHANGE.)

ROBERSON, Director & Chorerograhper.  (Choreographer for the upcoming Broadway Musical UNCHAIN MY HEART, the new Ray Charles musical - Spring 2011,  Broadway Choreographer for AVENUE Q and ALL SHOOK UP; Choregrapher on Television: John Lequizamo’s House of Buggin’ (an Emmy Award nominee for best choreography,) the “fish fry scene” in HBO’s Lackawanna Blues and the feature film Preaching to The Choir.)
